Would I be able to put 67 383 heads on my 68 383????

67_Dodge_Charger

No problem with switching heads on big blocks.  The bolt patterns are the same for all big block heads.  The intakes on big blocks  will differ; 383 and 400 (these are B blocks) intakes will not bolt up to 413, 426 or 440 engine (these are RB blocks).

Valve sizes will differ from B to RB setups.

valve sizes only change on max wedges heads engines and crossrammed, rest are the same ( mostly BTW )

BTW PELASE DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE CHAMBER VOLUME NUMBERS OR CCs, THATS NOT TRUE...

The 67 915 heads are closed chamber and I believe the pistons are 0.010" above deck in a 68 383. You would need to find a head gasket to give you enough piston to head clearance.

The BB exhaust valve size was mixed in the early sixties, some had the 1.60" and others had the 1.74", some casting numbers used both sizes. '68 and later all use the 1.74" valve.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

K another quick Question what is a 383 Commando Engine is that a special engine or something it came out of a 67 fury

Nacho-RT74

Commando is the therm used by Plymouth to the same Magnum engines on Dodges... Chrysler used TNT

Cool But like basically the same engine Right????

Nacho-RT74

same engine in fact. Thats just how was called to make diff between HiPo version and standart Version on every brand

Magnum/Commando/TNT are with windage tray, "HiPo" camshaft, HiPo manifold exhaust, 4 bbls carb, slightly higher Compression rate ( higher pistons ), double timming chain and sprockets of course, valve springs with dampener. that all what I'm aware off.

Some years were changed on some stuff, making standart engines with some adds from the HiPo versions, but those are mainly the differences
