How high can I saftley raise my 71 in the front ?I got new front end pieces moog rubber not poly, r/t suspension,3 way shocks 225x70x14 radials original torsion bars ,but sets low Id like it as high as possible with out handling danger was wanting to turn lower control arm nuts up to ? .thanks if an y answeres.

First measure from the bottom of the lower ball joint to the ground, add 7/8ths inch to that. That is what you want the bottom of disk inside your lower control arm (that your adjuster bolt pushes on) to be at. A neat trick is to cut a wood coffee stirrer so it just touches the bottom of the ball joint no matter how you move it around. Then mark another one at 7/8th inch from the end, tape it to the first stick so the mark is at the top of it. Now you have a gauge exactly the height to adjust to. Do it on a flat level surface and check the air in all your tires first, (get them exact!) get them close and bounce the front end down as you change height. When you get them there, take the car out and drive it around some, then re check/adjust as needed the FSM gives +/- 1/16 side to side. Adjust your headlights when your done.  :2thumbs:
