Hollywood cant seem to make a new movie anymore. They have to remake everything.

That's for sure. ::) And it really gets to the rediculous point when they've been remade three or four...or MORE times. :rotz:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Forget the remakes, when they run out of ideas, they just add a sequil to it.  Hell, look at the last Rocky movie.  Stalone looked like he should have been in the ground.

Yeah, I hear ya on the sequels, they are often the death sentence to an otherwise decent movie. The last two Rocky sequels before this most recent one was made...probably should have not been made. BUT, because they were made, I think this last one worked really well. It wrapped up a few things & showed that his life had sort of come full circle. Even though Stallone looks old & worn, he just about looks stronger than ever! Yeah, I would like to look half that good at his age. :icon_smile_big:

I hear they are in talks to do another ET movie set 30 years later and all....Come on...Do we really need that? There is also gonna be another Indiana Jones as well.I did like the last one, but what is Harrison Ford gonna look like 5 years from now? Christ....

Now that i want to see.  I begged my mom for months to take me to see Ghostbusters.  She took all of us kids and my younger sister got scared at the end and mom made us leave and go home early.   Man i was pissed!.

I still remember seeing GB in the movie theater in like 1983.  Awesome.

---------------------------------------------

They keep making sequels because it's less financially risky.  A bad sequel might only make $75 million instead of $200 mil, but it rarely bombs at $15 million the way a totally unknown property can.

The real problem is that it hurts the movies.

They might have a director on the payroll who loved the Alien movies and wants to make a scary/gory action flick.  But the studio makes him do an ET sequel instead.  Then the studio acts surprised when he makes ET into an action/horror flick that's way too scary and gory.

I loved the Ironman movie with Robert Downy Jr.  I thought it was great.  I have read where they will be doing a Captain America movie, which I would love to see if done right.

There is no way they could remake that movie.  The PC Police would be all over it.  Besides it does not need it.  That movie is great.

Love it or hate it, the comic book movies aren't done yet by a long shot.  There's a bunch more in the pipeline.  Including some tie-ins between different movie franchises.

I agree.  However, I am eagerly awaiting Transformers 2 to come out soon.

I thought TF was overrated.  Visually cool but not much else.

And the soundtrack FX were flat-out assaulting.  I seriously wanted to leave the theater during the last 1/2 hour.  I felt like the 1955 George McFly when Marty blasts him with the Van Halen tape in the walkman.

I haven't given on the franchise but I really hope the sequel has at least a little more dramatic/character meat on it.
