Its a freaking Vauxhall, and not a rare model at that.
He should get over himself and buy a real car ..sheesh  :brickwall:

Wow that's pretty much over the top, more than alittle narssisitic and anal but he's a pro car detailer, who paid another to do his car,.. I kinda' get that but see little difference between the before and after,.. I'm sure some will notice but to pay the amounts of money to reach that result seems kinda silly, but hey at least he didn't hurt anyone...
a nice lookin result to be sure but it's not my cup of tea.  :shruggy: time i clay bar and waxed the 300, but I ain't gonna do it five times..

After detailing cars for 3 years I can definitely see the difference in the before and after shots. However, the fact that he put that much effort into a car that is the European equivalent of a Honda Civic in the USA is just beyond me. I would put that much effort into my Charger or my Coronet, maybe even a new Challenger if it was a special edition but never into something that is such a common car....

WTF kind of wax comes in a crystal case?

Im actually detailing a friends 2002 Yukon Denali....black of course.   This will be my first paid detail job.  Im using Adam's products & a PC 7424 orbital.  Its coming out surprisingly well but I dont think I could do something like this for a living....Im too anal & detail orientated and I feel no matter how good it comes out it wont be good enough.... :rotz:

I also Detail cars for a living and I can see differences. But, I will agree that the guy has went to the very extreme. A decent car, yes. But not worth that. I have done somewhat close to that on muscle cars, but wouldn't waist my time on a new car. The clay is good stuff though, maybe I will clay the Duster sometime.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Brock Samson

well the thing is, he spent money and time to what?..  darken the shine on the wheels one maybe two shades?..
had special seats done up in blue then washed and waxed I belive he writes at least five times...
all this on a brand new car,..
I wonder if it's out of pocket expense,.. if so he's a complete NIMROD,..  :ahum:

...of course if some company paid the tab to make a show car for some stupid purpose it's a tax write off and makes alot more sense,..
BTW:
in the comment section there are some of the sorriest excuses for cars I've ever seen...

I used to wax my charger every other weekend....       When she gets done this time I'm sure I'll be out there EVERY weekend.   :2thumbs:

I'm about as lazy as they come but I definitely wax the Charger, hell I even wax the stupid old minivan and my little bride's Nitro, a clean car is a happy car.  But I don't go to the lengths that dude does.

Old Moparz

I like to see a clean car, but that's a bit much. Maybe even more than a bit much. My money says that guy has too much free time & isn't married, but if he is, his wife is planning to kill him in his sleep.

He'd love to see my car, the dirt on the dash of my Satellite convertible is from when it was in the body shop that screwed me over. That was back in 1988.  :smilielol:

I've hit my car with the clay bar treatment a few times, once because it got overspray on it while parked at my old job.  :brickwall:I generally try to clay the whole car every couple of years, and I wax it a couple of times in a show season.

That wax is crazy expensive, :o I'm sure there are other products that do as good a job.

1969chargerrtse

My brother in law is a Zymol freak also.  I've seen him spend all day waxing his old Volvo wagon, while I spent 1 hr waxing my car.  1 week later they both look the same.  Waste of time.  Over kill. Dumb.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

wordslikebullets

I work for a major wax company and we see guys like this all of the time.  There is a reason there is an 8k wax...its for the people that will spend 10k on a watch that just tells time the same way a $10 Timex does.  The one thing that I know there are two kinds of car guys out there.  The ones that want to go fast and the ones that want to look good .  Sometimes there are a blend of the two but I go to car shows all over and I see sooooooo many cars that look great from 20 feet and then you get up close and swirl city it drives me crazy.  With just a little work you could have a fast, cool looking, clean car but that takes work.  I have learned that to make my car look the best that lasts a long time it takes me about 5-6 hrs to do it right but that only happens about 2 times a year.  All of the other times I just wash and wax it.

This guy loves his car and wants it to look the best so you cant fault him for that.  You are right that he has gone overboard for sure with the paint meter, computer and that 8k wax(they also make a wax that is $12)...that to me is just plain silly to me.  Its his car and his money and at least he loves fast cars and not the silly hybrids right?

I just found this video of this guy and here is the reason he is as crazy as he is.  If you were working on half million dollar cars wouldnt you?

http://www.automopedia.org/2008/10/27/the-worlds-most-expensive-car-wax/

I know I have heard of one other wax that is more money, somthing like 18k or 22k I can't remember but that is just down right crazy...
