1964 chrysler 300 383 with transmission, will it hook up in my 68 charger??

i have a good running 1964 383 motor with tranny pulled from a chrysler 300, will it fit in a 68 dodge charger? or is that to early of a year for the tranny??

The transmission won't work without a lot of mods, it's cable shifted, has a Ball & Trunnion u-joint and the rear mount pad is in the wrong location. The motor would fit with the proper transmission but would also require some mods.

The good news is that there is likely someone trying to restore a pushbutton car that needs a transmission so it isn't like you should be stuck with it.
