Pulley problems

Just noticed that the water pump and crankshaft pulleys don't line up to each other, or to the alternator and ps pump.
The engine is a 400, the water pump is 3688468 and the number on the water pump pulley is 399404.

The water pump pulley should be closer to the engine, and the "space" between the grooves aren't on the same place on the two pulleys, what is up with that?  :shruggy:

Do I have the wrong pulleys for this engine?

Hemidog

Searched the waterpump pulley number, and it looks to be an Oldsmobile pulley. That might explain the hackjob some previous owner did on the bolting holes to get it to fit....

Still, what pulleys do I need?

I probably have the one you need if a 383 pulley for non a/c car will work.  It is yours for the cost of shipping if you want it.

383's and 400 are basically the same engine, so I think it would work.
Do you have both the crankshaft and water pump pulley? how many grooves do they have?
