69 Charger antenna, telescoping or fixed?, i saw two versions.

Telescoping. The fixed came in the early '70's.

I'm sorry. The only mast available for 69's was the telescoping antenna regardless of which radio came with the car.

There is some controversy as to exactly when during the 71 model year the fixed mast was introduced but it was standard equipment by '72.

My '70 has a fixed...car's birthday is May 21st.....

Telescoping. Anything else has been changed. Antennas got broken alot - car washes etc.. In the '70's a dealer would have sold the customer a solid one as a replacement. 35+ years later that antenna is old enough to look original. That's how all these things get started.

I don't want to steal your thread but I wanted to know too.  I got an AM/FM radio. How do I know what the radio antenna is, I wanted make sure it was the solid mast.

It should be telescoping.
