Hi you all, I been looking for afew answered to a question I have but I can't seem to find a answer though, maybe one of you can help out here?

:shruggy: I'm working on a small project for the family, but I want to add a color to a cement and mortar mix, would play sand work? if so what kind? This project has to last for a very long time.

Add colors with concrete powders sprinkled or rubbed into the surface of the concrete when wet. Or mix the color directly into the cement. You can also achieve wonderful effects using acid stain and different colored paints on dry or even old cement.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I did my walkway about 4 years ago with the method above.. Worked great. We mixed it directly in with the cement as we were afraid the "surface coloring" would eventually wear out.
