has anyone seen a charge for corporation blue paint?

I have a 'bird that color, and I'm trying to get the window sticker right so i don't look like an idiot.  I ask about the charge because of this document:





clearly, there should be a $69.50 charge somewhere, just like the high impact $14.05 charge for limelight, plum crazy, etc.  here is the problem:






I blanked out the vin as i don't have explicit permission from the owner and don't want to ruffle feathers.

color code shows 7D19, which was wild to see.  I have both 37D and 999 on my tag and broadcast sheet.  there is no charge for the paint, though.  should there have been?  was it added later, like on a side ticket?  both this car and mine were not customer ordered cars.  this is one of the great mysteries left to unravel for me!

On the advance dealer shipping notice and the mulroney label, the paint and top  are listed in shorthand, ie;

7D = 37D (Paint code)

19 = V19 (Vinyl top code)

My thoughts are-- The color is listed with the others as available,does NOT say at extra cost.
More than likely it's a internal mix up.
Is that window sticker a copy of the original?Repo's were available starting I think around mid 1980's.

 The lore i read was that back in the '50s Petty Sr. had only enuff paint to paint the car if he combined the blue and the white he had on hand, hence the Petty Blue,..

I know that car its Joe Medwicks.As to the window sticker to tell a repo from a original there are certain fonts that give it away

dragging this back from the dead because I missed the damn thread somehow--

the tags read C37D two lines above the standard paint code location (think where V01 would be on the tag, all the way to the left, right above the screw.)  the paint code is filled in as 999


the bcast sheet lists as 37D in the "paint style" box and 999 in the "body paint" box, window sticker at 7D19 as the color/top combo.  the window sticker I saw (at carlisle last year) was the ONLY Corporation Blue I've ever seen, and it made no mention of the color except a the top.  there's an instruction sheet for ordering the color that states the paint is an extra $69.50 retail, but this car wasn't charged for it on the sticker...that was weird to me because any of the traditional "high impact" colors are always charged the standard $14.50.


and J99525 checking in here.  I've never heard of the "christmas break special" at all--my car was built the second or third week of November according to the master list, VIN 168776.

yes, there are plenty of auto petty cars.  barry's is (right?) there's a white interior 4bbl car from NY, the one californiamopars was trying to sell forever was a bench auto, the car Tim Wellborn bought was a bench auto, and I've ridden in an Iowa owned black bucket/console 440 auto car.  that was a treat!
