Two nights ago I went to my local Dodge Dealership (Friends with the owner for 15+ years) to test drive a Dakota(Hemi) he told me about. I've been looking to trade my truck ever since my fiasco a week or so ago..

Anyways, I went in and drove the Durango. Nice. Loaded with EVERYTHING and priced right. But it wasn't "me".

I then drove a V8 Grand Cherokee Limited. VERY NICE truck, but again, not me.

So we were sitting in the showroom talking about cars and I kept glancing over to this R/T Charger (Hemi) sitting on the center of his floor.. He says "Seems to me you like that?!?!". I said "Yeah, but a bit rich for my blood right now, I have a General Lee draining me, I want to CUT my payments, not add to them. But, if you can get me into that thing for under _____ and under _____/month I'm all over it!". He says "Let's talk........."

Well, 2 hours later we had worked out an incredibly fair price for my truck (thousands over payoff) and my "new" payments were $250+ lower than my SuperDuty. Tonight I picked her up, and I tell you this thing is a DREAM to drive.

I know a lot of you feel that "Chargers are meant to have 2 doors", and I agree.. But I have to say this is luxury mixed with power.. There is not one option this thing doesn't have. I am VERY happy wit it.. It's an 06 with 19k miles in pristine condition.. It just came off a 2 year lease with a 62 year old man.. VERY well kept!!

Let the fun begin, but here's how she sat her first time home!!

  I'm loving the addition of my new DD and look forward to spending some time behind the wheel!!

Congrats! nice car. I love the black  :2thumbs:

Thanks! It's covered in pollen in this picture, I'll have some good (clean) shots this weekend. One thing that amazed me was how quiet this thing was on the inside.. With the windows up and the roof shut you can hear NOTHING outside!!

Well, I think it's safe to say it's a Hemi by name only.. This has nothing in common with the Hemi of 'olden days'.. But it's still cool!!

You've got to remember here, I was sitting on a $550+ month truck payment, spending wads on Diesel and was having a problem with my state inspection. I got into this car for $250 LESS and am going to be as comfortable as all Hell!!

So wouldn't I, but it wasn't in my budget right now. I could have bought TWO of them if I didn't have the General  :brickwall: :slap:

FLG

True...seems like a very nice trade off!!

Just make sure you drive the wheels of both of em  :2thumbs:

Congrats man!
Tell me you at least took the 666 emblem off!
I'd rather die than go to heaven.

I had one extra made when I did them, so I have one, yes... But I couldn't take those off, I didn't have anything to put in it's place.

Thanks!! Did you buy it new? Have you had good luck with it?

I have 7 years of full coverage on it (got an extended thrown in the package deal), so I don't care if it breaks, but...

Takes a MOPAR to catch a mopar!

Yes I have had great luck with it...I got it in 2006.I think the only things I had to do to it so far were the transmission o ring change, wich is a very common problem with these cars...It's a 10 cent part, and I had one headlight lense replace for fogging up...So far it been great..I have 42000 miles on it right now..There are TONS of mods for these cars too..Check out Chargerforums.com for lots of info...

Very nice.  Most of the people here who don't like it, have never driven one. :2thumbs:
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Great deal.  Have fun in it.  This is weird though because I don't kow you but I remember someone with 666 in their name from a thread I read.  While I was coming home in my truck last night I noticed it had 66662.1 miles on it and I was thinking how soon it will be 66666.6 and I should take a picture and email to that 666 guy ( but who is he? ) and the next morning I fnd myself commenting on some guy's thread, and it's the 666 guy.  Weird?  to me anyway.  :icon_smile_big:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Very nice...looks like they added the Daytona styled wheels (black painted inserts between the spokes)or it might have been avail in an option package in '06 :shruggy:
Good luck with her!
First thing ya gotta do is get that chrome cross hair grill outta there....put in a honeycomb Daytona grill to match the black out theme on that black beauty

Very nice Jeff!!!!

Glad you got out of that ferd too.  BTW, that 666 emblem is what will sell that truck in about 3 days, believe it....

Wicked nice car and I know you are going to want to mod that thing.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

jb666

The truck was sold the night I drove it in. The guy was there to take it the afternoon I traded it...

Anyways, here she is, all tucked in (until the General comes home) nice and comfy...

Those loading ramps look like some cool skid plates you would see in a James Bond movie mounted under the Vette.   :coolgleamA:

Those are the ramps I used a couple of times to get things into my truck. They are for sale and store nicely under there.

Looks nice Jeff.      :scratchchin:   Now you need another truck to tow the trailer for the General Lee and the BK custom work.    ;)   Or, put a hitch on the Corvette or new Charger.   :icon_smile_big:
