anyone know how the gauge panel comes out of a 1974 charger?  any help is appreciated

4 phillips screws around woodgrain bezel ( visible ones ) two phillips screws at sides of column "tunnel" or cut out down the dash frame.

need also remove radio ( knobs nuts, rear bracket 7/16 nut, one HIDDEN screw at a side of dial frame. To remove that one IF STILL PRESENT cause if radio has been removed in the past and could be not reattached, need to remove ashtray housing to be able to get acces.

Remember remove speedo wire, heater cable, vacuum lines.

need to drop the column.

Then will be posible to drop off a little bit the front of cluster to unplug wiring, specially ammeter nuts. Is some tricky on Rallye clusters due the TIGHT room for those. Standart clusters are a liitle bit easier. Dunno why on Rallye clusters,  A/C control fits a little bit tighter inside dash frame cut out.
