ok got a question...I mainly deal with Dodge trucks so forgive me for asking such a question that you all are so familiar with. I see lately as I have started browsing Charger forums that H.A.L.P.G comes up alot and not only have I heard very bad things about this place I have seen some horrors. my only thing is...who is this HALPG? what does HLPG stand for and I ask this in the most honest way I can so a response like Hell And Lucifer Parts Garage will not do or what ever. anyone got a link?

It's actually HLPAG and it stands for Hans Luedtke Performance Auto Group.  They go under different names and stuff to keep going and to rip people off.
Type in HLPAG in google and sit back for a long night of reading. Their specific site is off the net but they go by another name now like american muscle cars or something, but it's them.
Basically stay away from anything in Lake Villa Illinois, it's them.

BK Auto.. No explanation necessary(Jeff's thread)

Actually do a search here...just type in HLPAG and you'll get some pretty good info right here that will make you sick.

As far as vendors go, just post up who when you are looking to buy and we'll tell you if they are reputable or not. :2thumbs:

Sometimes by just googling there phone number you can get some good feedback as far as people on different forums with complaints. If a guy has burned a few people chances are those people are going to make it known as well as they can. Theres a shop thats local to me here that has ripped more than a few people off nationwide that has gone and tried to operate under a few different names and locations, somehow there rep seems to follow them.

Thanks Mike that's all the info I needed especially where they are located so I know to be cautious about it. I have been stashing money away for a long time and I dont want to get bent over by buying from those guys because I heard they change the name etc. Thanks alot!!

Yea, you can tell by looking at the cars. I see they are saying they're in Chicago now. ::)

What do those bozos have against marker lights?

How funny, this picture is from the parking lot of the Lake Villa location..... Who are they trying to fool.

A friend did buy a car from them, and it wasn't bad.  He picked up a 68 RT in an unrestored state for $4999.  The car was not represented wrong.  Where people get screwed is when they buy a car that these guys attempted to restore.  DONE VERY POORLY.......

My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

I'm sure there are a lot of good experiences to be had when dealing with HLPAG if you go about it the right way. But if you buy one sight unseen, and get their special midnight drop-and-run treatment, you're probably going to be pretty unhappy. If I were in the market for a Charger and lived nearby I would stop in and check it out in person but I would be very, very cautious before giving them any money.

RamchargerMopar

I will not be buying any car sight unseen and will be sure to have a mechanic look at the vehicle. If the person selling wont let me take it to a shop that they are not affiliated with then they must not wanna sell the car so bad. I am just looking for a driver that is ready to go I dont have time for a resto right now.

What are you looking for and what range cashwise?  I'll keep an eye out for you down here Augusta way.  Lots of stuff to be had.  Also, sunroofblacklee lives up your way in Bangor, maybe he has something or can get you in the right direction.
