Hey gang... It's in a real rough draft, but thought I'd pass on a little website and plug. It's for the guy doing my LL1 '68 Hemi Charger R/T..... It was my first time creating links with pictures.  Still need to get some more scanned images of his work...

Looks like a start.
Might I suggest using a real easy site to make decent looking webpages?

www.tripod.com

I used their SiteBuilder software to make

www.1969chargerregistry.com

and

www.richmondcountymopars.com

Totally customizeable (note the holiday theme on the home pages ;)  and real easy to use

Hey Troy, looks nice!!   did I break it though?

When I tried to look at page 5 it told me that the site has exceeded its data transfer allocation, and would be available again in an hour.   Stupid bandwidth thing, right?

That's very cool though...

I was going to check it out, but I got the same message as Gene.

I'll try to check it out here later on today.

Bandwidth !!!!  Well, that's what you pay for......... Thanks Chris, I was looking for something like that, another software package that I can use. I'd like to find some software and utilize my roadrunner web account...... Does tripod have the restrictions such as yahoo/geocities has?

Just worked for me.......

You can sign up for a free account there.
My personal site is hosted there for free, so ther is pop-ups etc on the site.

www.6t9charger.com

I made that site the hard way...straight HTML using Front Page 2000  Took me about a month to do and it is a bit$h to update (have'nt done it in a while)

The other 2 sites are actually on the same account (costs $4.95 a month)
They give you 5 gigs of bandwidth a month and 25mb of storage space
Its the Tripod Plus account

Hey Troy, I've always loved your Turquoise Hemi...it's one of my favorites. I can't see the site right now (says temporarily unavailable) but if you send me some clean pics of your Charger and an idea of what you want the header (top section) of the website to be titled...I'd be more than happy to create a header for you. If interested just PM me.
Life is a highway...

Large images will eat up bandwidth quick. I used to always have problems with Tripod but maybe they changed their packages. I think their site builder application was easy to use though. You can also try Angelfire which is ad supported as well. I used to use Brinkster for development and they were solid. You can purchase cheap web space and it's usually more stable and has higher limits. One hint: use something like Photobucket to host your images and then only put the HTML on your limited web site. This way you aren't really affected by bandwidth or trafic slowdowns on a shared server with 1,000 other free sites.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I can see the pics........but want to see some finsihed product

I tell you what,,, So am I..........  I hate being between a rock and a hard place............ I wish I could just take it somewhere and get it done... The one saving grace right now is the fact that he's merging with a partner in the resto. business and this will free up alot of time for him in regards to not running his own single-man operation...........

One of these days you'll get it done and be able to enjoy it. Maybe by the time your boy turns 16 you will have it done, and let hime drive it. That is still what 10 years off?

Oh yeah, and when do you find out if your having a boy or a girl with the next child? In about another month right?

I thnk that's the timeframe on when you can find out via ultra-sound....  I talked to the guy who owns the shop where my caar will be going to now that Smitty and he have merged into a joint-venture and he assures me that he'll make sure Smitty has time to finish it off.. So, that's very cool !!!!! I'm hoping first quarter of 2006 I'll have it home and the drivetrain installed..........

Well that isn't too far off in the future.

Now the question looms as to which Charger are you going to bring the new child home from the hospital in? Dana, the HEMI, or the 70?

Being that the '70 will no where near be finished, it counts that one out.. I doubt the '68 with be totally finished by June, so that leaves Dana... But, I also have to consider the comfort of mom......... Believe me you, I would love to bring the baby home in the Charger with camera ready for the shot..... :)

Believe me there is plenty of comfort for mom in  the front seat of a Charger. I brought my son home from the hospital in the Charger when he was born. The outside temperature was 12 degree's but I was feeling like it was 95 and a sunny day. Proudest day of my life was the day he was born. I think that ride home from the hospital brain washed him too, because now he likes to play toy cars for about 16 hours of the day. He even dreams of cars. When he is asleep he talks about chargers, and makes motor noises. Puts a huge smile on my face. My wife says I'm corupting him, but I say I'm teaching him the truths of the world. The next one, we will be taking mom to the hospital in the charger and bringing the kid home in it too. That is unless I stumble upon a Daytona before the next kid arrives.
