The Vit C 440/6 car that I am restoring is coming along very nice.  I need to update the page.  The nose is getting ready to be painted... Ijust need a few much-needed details.

I know the inside of the nose should be black along with the headlight buckets and the surroundings of the headlight openings.  The hardware that attaches the headlight bucket to the nose cone... should they be natural in color, black oxide, or painted black with the bucket and nose?

The screen that is mounted below, I know that it is suppose to be body color on one side and primer gray on the opposite side.  Should the phillip screws that hold the three surrounds be painted body color or left natural?

Thanks for your help!

very interesting!

My screen is natural not body color or black and Im planning on returning it that way. I conceed its not correct but Im not "shooting for gold" and do not like the screen body colored.

after further review I will be painting the grill screen. :icon_smile_wink:
wingless now, but still around.

Wow!  There's a bunch or great info there from some very credible people.  The car is mostly built right now... all that is really left is painting, assembling, and installing the nose along with final installation on the interior, install all of the bolt-ons in the engine compartment, and decal it... And we're on the road!!

Thanks for your help!
