I am very burnt out from fighting with people over this motor, if i give in and put on the ultra flows with an H pipe will it still sound decent? (will there be a lot of drone, will it be quieter, etc)

What kinda sound are you wanting? the X pipe will be alittle quieter than the "H" but makes more H.P and Torque or so Im told. The Ultra flows dont drone (flowmasters drone) having said that these are things I have heard (not from my own personal experience.)

Thanks mike, does anyone else have any comments about this set up... I just want the charger to sound nice when i get done!

The ultra flows dont drone! They will sound awesome with your setup.

The super turbos and flow masters are the ones that drone.

I have the ultra flows with an H-pipe set up on my 440.  They are awesome.  Nice and quiet on the highway, as long as you don't have your foot in it.  Just think of your gas pedal as a volume control. :icon_smile_big:  Bob

If you have the option, why not go with the X-pipe?  I thought that was the better option vs the H-pipe.  My flowmasters drone, I wish I had the later...

Find another exhaust guy and have him install what you want on your car.  :Twocents:

You don't really need the cutouts but it's a nice option to have should you ever want to test & tune at the track. With a mild build like yours the full exhaust with X-pipe will most likely be faster than open exhaust anyway.

It's your car man, get what you want.  If you're fighting with your builder over choices, he's too opinionated and maybe doesn't appreciate your hard earned cash as much as he should.  My builder told me that he wanted an H pipe in our car and I quote, "because I'm old school"..but I got the X pipe anyway.  I heard NASCAR cars go with X pipe because it's better.

could always buy the TTI set up. I got a 3" x pipe with ultra flows from them. I think it was 800 somthing. Fit perfect and sounds great
