What expansiuon valve you would get ?

I got sometime ago a NOS Expansion valve to my car due the original from fact got stuck I think... but dunno why feels A/C is working less efficient now than before. So I'm thinking to change the valve again... classic auto air carries them on $50 rate but found some NOS stuf vendors with MOPAR NOS pieces on $30 rate.

Maybe the time even without use get them some damaged internally? sorry, I have no idea what carries those valves internally or how do they work.

yeah ...think age might affect them !! think i would go for the new one as opposed to the NOS :yesnod:

Did you change the dryer and filter at the same time? Check to see difference from high and low side? Classic is right across Tampa Bay from me, they are very good! Good luck

well the job has been made allways by same shop made my A/C FREEEEEEEEEEEZE enough to fog the REAR window OUTSIDE once ( one night after rain ended, some humidity outside of course ).

You made me laugh!! Sounds like they know what to do! I learned (what I told you) from a service station owner (25 years his own shop).It's always expensive to open up AC system that's why I'm waiting to reinstall it in my car!

well the AC was cooling enough to THINK on get the heater system working to graduate temp( niples are sealed from fact, being I'm on a tropical country supposelly is not neecesary to get it work )

well latelly I having serious doubts about them... the problem is on shop, when making the checking, the A/C of course COLDS... the problem is coming allong the day.

Every time AC system is opened they change the dryer because the humidity entering inside. In my case they open and change just the gel by my petition to keep same reservoir, so really they try to be at least profesional

why I have two PN according to dates ?... I mean

I don't know the exp valve my car had ( it didn't have any PN on it ), and in fact I don't know what's my car's built date either

On 74 moparts parts catalog I have to A, B and E bodies the PN 2932843 to cars UP TO 9-27-73... This is the one I got NOS locally and replaced my old one

then to B and E bodies from 9-17-73 there is a NEW PN: 3502808

A bodies have a 3rd date partition, after 2-15-74: 3703651

what it could be the difference ?

A change in suppliers? No build date on the door plate? :scratchchin: I don't know to much about 3rd gen. to help! Interesting problem maybe it has something to do with the problem now...wonder if Classic would know?

No door plate or Vin Tags down here. All cars models were assemblied/equipped on same way so no fender tag plate needed.... MAYBE there is some hidden date code on local VIN, but who knows :shruggy: never have known something about that locally.

Interesting problem...Got to be dates on some stuff but where? Too bad no build sheet!
