He has only had his license since Feb. Had to learn how the whole process works.

He only got in three runs.

First run the motor bogged and died at the start. (It has never done this before)
Second run he spaced at the starting line but ran a 15.1.
Third run he said the (automatic) tranny didn't shift right from 2 to 3. 16.0 ET. He was eliminated from the comp at this time.

Triple green is a 68 Charger 383 HP bone stock except for a petronix ignition kit. 3.23 sure grip. but 28" tall Radials TAs on the back.

Overall he said he had a great time!

And that's all that counts...  :2thumbs:

Damn right!   all it takes is a couple runs at the track to get him hooked...   :yesnod:

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

What a cool father you are.  My dad would say "hop in the back and watch".   :rotz:  Of course he doesn't have a Birdable though.   :slap:

Tell that boy (yours too Stuart) congrats on his first dragstrip run triple green.  You do realize that this means that bone stock business is going to slowly come to an end right?  ;)

Are you expecting some sort of argument from us on the crazy comment?  :nana:

Just do you guys know...it took us a month to convince my wife that this was OK.   She isn't interested in the Charger other than she doesn't want him to wreck it and bring the resale value of it down.......

:2thumbs:   That's cool.  I think our kids need this kind of stuff.   I let my son Nick (who is 12 years old) drive our General Lee down to the bus stop a few weeks ago.  Out of the 20-25 kids there, all eyes were on him as he got out of the drivers seat.   :2thumbs: :icon_smile_big:   He must have felt so cool.    :2thumbs:  Thumbs up to you Triple_green for letting your kid take part in that.    You are a cool dad.
