I was in the process of stripping my trunk lid for my 71 R/T and I noticed the top sheet metal is flexing...it seems to be detached in a large area from the inside structure.....so the metal looks warped....I was thinking of getting some type of liquid type adhesive?.......and pouring it in the structure of the trunk lid and hopefully it goes between the two panels and then flip it over and add some weight to area where it detached until it sets up...

Has anyone seen this happen before?........any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks Allot

My original 73 trunk was that way. So was the 71 trunk on it now.  Put silicone caulk in it to stop the rattles.
