Shelby went to the Doc on Tues. She needed eyedrops. I stayed home because a just had a nerve wash done on my back( very painful by the way) I wasn't suppose to be driving for 24 hours. I get a phone call from Shelby around 5:30 that her car caught fire. So I rush out to go get her. She has smoke inhalation, burns inside her nose and a sore throat. She will be on inhalers for at least a month. But otherwise she is just shook up.  :2thumbs: The Daytona on the other hand  :pity: Didn't make out so well. Some of you guys remember when the idiot cut her rear window defogger wire. Well, I guess the jerk that fixed it, didn't fix it right. Because that's what started the fire.  :brickwall:

Like I've said to you and Shelby on the phone, I'm glad she made it out without serious injury. Could of been much worse.

My friends said that fix it for her but she is having nightmares. She says the car is Christine's sister and it's trying to kill her. So we'll seee what the insurance is gonna pay. And my friend has a Neon he said he would sell her. :shruggy:

I thought it was going to be much worse than that. Like no glass....burnt paint around the doors, that kinda stuff. Since she think's it's Christine's sister....does that mean somebody has to drive over it with a bulldozer (haha- just trying to throw in some humor to lighten the situation).

She was stuck in road construction when she smelled the smoke and saw the fire. She was screaming at the guys to get her stopped and they just ignored her.She had to drive 2 blocks before she could get pulled over safely. Driving with her head out the window. She jumped out and called 911. Now this is kinda funny. A black guy stopped and got her art stuff out of her car. And kept trying to talk her into going back to his house to wash up. When she told him she called the cops. He bounced. LOL

She popped the hatch. I think that's what saved the glass from breaking. There is some paint blistering. Actually it started right up. It has power up front. It recks inside  :eek2: It's burnt up to the sun visors, From the front seats to the back is garage. Shelby takes bad pics.

Geez. At least she wasn't hurt.

Time to get the Super Coupe on the road?

(what's a nerve wash?)

Too much money to finish the Super Coupe til she gets out of college. A nerve wash is when they stick 6 huge needles in your spine and put medicine in there to wash the pinched nerves to get them to calm down.  :o

God Jackie, that's terrible, I'm glad she's okay.
But I have to tell you, that smoke damage is tough to get out of a car, she may be right in wanting to unload it.

Sure glad Shelby is going to be ok. I can't say much for Neon's though either as far as wiring. 2 years ago my older daughter had one the thought it was a barbecue.

Keep smiling Shelby. It will get better.  :2thumbs:

Happy to hear she's o.k.  I still can't decide if I'd rather have my Charger catch on fire or a nerve wash thing?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Tell Shelby we're pulling for her to heal (physically & mentally)....that's a pretty traumatic experience to be rolling in a fire ball.
Sucks about the car though....might be a little hard to find the soft trim parts for her....
