Hello everyone.  I am a Charger newbie!  I just purchased a 1974 Charger with a 360 in it.  I really do not know what I am doing with it, but I have always wanted a late model Charger.  I wanted this for a project / fun car to drive around on weekends and such.  I know opinions are everywhere, but where would be a good place to start working/upgrading the engine for more HP?  This is not a troll, I am really looking for some general advice.  Thanks.

Hey, thanks for the welcome.  I will be able to take pics in the morning and post them later in the morning.  It is dark now and I did not have a camera with me at the time of purchase.  I can see it is going to be a long road ahead but I am soooo looking forward to the journey.  I will post pics in the AM.  CAN'T WAIT!!! :coolgleamA:

Just ordered a set of headers and mufflers for it.  I am like a kid in a candy store.  I need to go freeze my debit card in ice to slow me down a little. ha!

The biggest problem with the 3rd gen Chargers is their weight. You need something like 3:55 or 3:73 gears for the street. 268-272 duration cam with matching springs. A good bracket racing type valve job would help. A good dual plane intake with around a 600 cfm carb. A well built 2 1/2" exhaust system with a balance tube or X pipe. just my  :Twocents: That's my general advice. Kyle  :popcrn:
