Notice the chrome wheel well trim but side marker lite looks black or darkend at least as well as chrome trim around lite. Maybe its a JC Whitney specail charger, hahaha....

JC Whitney used to sell "new car smell" in an aerosol can.  If they still have it, you could get that and spray it into your charger.
