Alrighty then....I'm typing this AGAIN because the first time I did I attached pics, pushed post then got the message "Sorry! There is already an attachment with the same filename as the one you tried to upload. Please rename the file and try again..." so I hit "back"...and lost all of my precious one finger typing. :flame:
So...I'm posting this first....then I'm going to fill in the narrative....then I'll attach the pics.
Sound like a plan?

OK...
I was driving home the other night and out of the corner of my eye I see this mile-long yellow streak.
Turns out to be a 1968 Chrysler 300. Convertible. With no windsheild.
So I keep on driving.
But then I think "I wonder if that car was rolled?" (Which would explain the lack of A pillars).
Since I know where there is at least 6 of these convertibles in wrecking yards, I hit the next avaliable turn-around between the divided highway lanes and perform a very illegal U turn.

I go back to the car, which happens (as it turned out) to be behind a very unusual facility, recently relocated to my neck of the woods. www.radicalgarage.com
The Chrysler in question is being artfully customized for a customer.
I can't decide whether or not if I like the product...so I'll reserve judgement for after it's completed.
All I know is, I met the designer, got a quick tour of the shop, and saw a few of the other projects on the go. All of which were very weird.
Like a '32 Ford...with a '67 Mustang Fastback body. Uh-huh.

Looks like a way to screw up a pretty nice car to me..... :rotz:

Some very nice work going on there. I would love to learn those metal bashing skills. Those guys are true craftsmen in my books. It reminds me of the Charger they did in a similar fashion.

To each his own I say. I can appreciate the customs and peoples creativity. If we restored every car back to stock the car shows would get pretty boring IMHO. I enjoy the variety and seeing customs.  :yesnod:

Thats a cool idea. I'd love to see the finished car!

As a kid in the 60's I thought those 1 of 1 show cars were awesome, but as an adult, I see it as someone having a bad LSD trip back in the day.

It looks too dated, kind of like all the 50's show cars that had exaggerated fins & rocket shapes for the space age look. Definitely some hard work, but not something I'd ever want.

Whats the other choice? Huge rims with bigger wings? I'll take the 50's, and 60's custom's anyday over some of today's "customs"

mopar_nut_440_6

I can appreciate them all whether I like them or not. I am sometimes jealous as I would love to do some of that type of work but cannot bring myself to do it to one of my old Mopars.
