When buying a 1968 Charger new back in the day and it was equipped from the factory with the magnum 500 wheel option was the spare tire mounted on a magnum 500 wheel as well?

Yup, black steelie.  I thought the same as you but was also corrected to the finer points of  a Mopar by the board. :2thumbs:
