Thanks!  The stripe really doesn't stick out like the picture shows. The black paint was mixed with some silver metal flake to give this affect.  In normal light, it doesn't stick out as much.  I still like how it turned out! :2thumbs:

Yes! I can assure you that, that is a constant battle.......I drove my Charger around town a couple weekends ago and I had to dust that thing like 10 times!!  :brickwall: And the more you dust it off the static you create ! Its a never ending cycle!!

I love it!  I agree with you guys, black is just SO nice on these cars.  I thought about changing mine but because it's nearly a complete #'s matching R/T I decided I'll keep it QQ1 when we get to paint... which isn't all that bad.  Just can't wait to see it painted.  The old QQ1 was so faded I'm not sure, even after hours/days/weeks of buffing that thing, that I ever REALLY got to see true QQ1.

Your car's looking amazing, can't wait until it's complete!   :2thumbs:

I wouldn't worry about there being too many black Chargers. How many other Chargers do you see in a day, let alone black ones? Car shows might be a different story but when you're driving down the street the black ones really pop.

Anyway, I ahve a question for you. Was your car undercoated from the factory. If so, how did you go about restoring the underside like you did?

Mike,
Looks great & the black on a 68 is awesome!

Ron, very nice.  I wish this website allowed users to post pictures of their cars in a profile....  Is there a link to more pictures of your cars?  I'm kind of partial to Chargers though.. :scratchchin: :2thumbs:

Very nice looking. My 69 is 3x black, I cant think of any other color I would rather have on a charger. I will be starting my 68 sometime this year and I was actually thinking of doing it black with a silver stripe.

Funny thing is though everytime I go to a car show, if there is a charger there it usually isnt black.
