Govier finally delivered.

After an eleven month wait, I just received the documentation letter for my Road Runner from Galen G.

Hurray!

I know there are some GG haters out there. But I have to give them credit because they were up front about being months behind, and communicated that twice. So I was patient (like I had a choice ) and then there it was in today's mail.

I'm going out now for a midnight run (the snow has melted) and burn up the pavement.

No hoopla!     It is anti-climatic to me, so surely it doesn't mean squat to the world at large.  

But it seems that "they" are always asking about "it", so now a got a Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.

I'll get a scan together tomorrow and post it.

I think you are already reading the next guru.  The internet collective has largely replaced indiviual stamps of approval and except for a few secret documents the living guru is still sitting on, there is little you can't learn on your own with only a small amount of research.
I won't go so far as to say individual seals of approval will become irrelevant only that there is little that can't be found on your own.
Now if we had a version of Pontiac Historical or the Marti Report...

It's attached. It is a poor pic because of the security paper he prints it on. It gets all distorted when scanned. And a photocopy has the word VOID show up all over the page. It's some sort of anti-counterfeit paper.

Absolutely nothing. Already fully decoded and lots of history constructed and documented. That's why it is anti-climatic.

Also, no 8 barrels, running a ProMax 850 4 barrel. Very friendly on the street.

Originally a 383 (like the other 44,000+ in 1968).  Now with a Hemi and all the good stuff.

Love the 383, the most un-appreciated motor of all time. But I have a sickness that only the Hemi could cure.

Yes, it was $16. Happy? Sort of. It just is what it is.

There is no objective way to know if a Govier letter is a good investment. Until somebody could survey all sale offers and completed sales (nationwide in the Mopar nation) to demonstrate that a registry and letter add value, don't know. No one has. (And I'm not selling so it doesn't matter).

Now, if it's a Superbird, and the objective is to sell to a collector, then a full appraisal is worthwhile, and a registry is worthwhile.
