Can I mount a side mirror on the passenger door if the car did not come with it? If it can be done, how is it located and fastened?

yes... fastened the same, just need to open the 4 holes ( screws and backing plate clips ).

I already did

I just did this Thursday...I took off the door panel...Lined up the mirror, marked where I needed a hole...Drilled the hole and then used 2 new machine screws and put it in place...Put it all back together and that was that...
