How Mopar sick are you?

Reason why I ask is because I find a lot of people that have had a car for a while have more than one.  My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic! :2thumbs: Even though I have a 2 car garage, I still have four freak'in cars :brickwall:.  I guess I'm a sucker.  Or, is it an illness?  I think a little of both. :yesnod:  I've always had one car, but now I'm up to 4 and I found another one today that I was actually thinking of picking up.  Thank god I got my to my senses and woke up!  I was telling myself, what the hell are you thinking.  I already pay storage fees up the ass!

Well, I have my 70 Plum Crazy, which is done.  My Coronet rag, needs a little work here and there (don't they all? :shruggy:), then last year while in the middle of PA in a little town trying to find gas, I found a 72 two fender tag Chally 340 Black on Black California car.  Since it was a steal, I ponied up and drove 12 hours the next Wednesday to pick it up.  Been sitting since......

Yesterday, at the storage facility I use, the owner tells me that he has a mint 64 Thunderbird that the owner hasn't paid storage fees for 4 years on :o!  The owner owes then $4,000! :o :o.  In talking I asked, what are you guys going to do with it.  He said sell it.  Illinois is working on getting him the title......  I asked how much, oh, what we have in it!  So, as a sick person I am, what do I do, I call a good friend and tell him how I may pick up a Thunderbird and sell it to help fund my 68 Charger project.....  :brickwall: :brickwall:   The owner also mentioned that he had a 70 AMX that was beautiful, same situation for the most part, except the owner of the car said, I just need to get rid of it.  A guy picked it up about 3 months ago for $2,500!

I guess I can be putting my money into other things, but that wouldn't be fun........  My insurance guy lovesssssss me! :scratchchin:

My name is Cody and I'm a Moparholic. I have 3 Mopars...even though my garage only fits one. I'll be building a garage to house them soon. My room is full of Mopar parts, diecast cars, model cars and other memorbilia. I even have a '70 Challenger T/A window sticker in my room. I get more Mopars..even though I should only have 1 or 2. I just can't resist. ;)

I'm not just sick, I have Mopar cancer. I have owned well over 150 in the last 10 years. From slant six Darts, to a HEMI Road Runner. Chrysler 300's to Power Wagon's. I have had a bit of everything. Right now though, I currently have my 340 4spd Duster (striped almost all the way down), 75 Dodge 2x4 short bed with a 440 and a few other projects. Wish I still had several of them.

Top 10 I wish I still had;
70 HEMI road runner
70 EV2 383 4spd air grabber Road Runner
70 Charger 500 /6 three on the tree export car
70 Plum Crazy 383 Ramcharger hood Bee
70 B5 383 4spd ramcharger hood bee
70 Top Banana 70 Coronet 500 383
72 Swinger 318 (first Mopar at age 14-19)
67 B-cuda form S 383 with less than 1000 orig miles, ex drag car that went from collector to collector slowly getting more parts taken off of it each time. Last I knew, it went to CA. It didn't have a gauge cluster when I sold it. I am guilty of keeping parts off of it too. I know every owner that it had from 1972-2004 when it got sent to CA.
69 Chrysler 300 2dr H/T in Green on Green with a 440 HP
66 HEMI charger (Bought it with 4 other chargers out of a field when I was 16 in 2000)

Damn I kick myself.
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

My name is James and I have the same disease!

I also find it hard to resist buying more cars or parts.

I currently am restoring a 68 Charger 440 4 spd car.

Also have a 70 V Code Roadrunner EV2 4 spd and a 70 Duster with 40000 miles /6 car I turbocharged and 1999 Dodge Ext Cab 4x4.

My wife has a 2003 Ram 2500 quad can 4x4 and a 69 Chevelle.

I like to hoard parts, particularly big blocks and rarely sell my cars.

I spend good money on good parts for the cars I rarely drive and run my everyday drivers into the ground and then sell then and buy another one. Seems silly!

I'm broke, otherwise I'd still have 2.  More, if I had money.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

I have OCD, I have discovered this as I am never quite satisfied with anything I have. I'm trying to fix it though. :2thumbs:

6 cars deep at the moment, but i'm about to start getting rid of some.  Charger and Challenger are staying for sure.   67 Coronet R/T is getting closer to going for sale every day to facilitate mods to the Challenger and have some extra cash for whatever.  74 Duster and the 73 Coronet are already for sale in the local trader magazine. Both project cars but not too far from getting on the road as daily drivers...and then there is my 1 ton Chevy Dually.  The only non mopar on the compound.  As much as I want to get rid of that and get a Dodge Dually(CTD) again, I don't see it bringing the cash I need to get out from under it, if that makes sense.  It's a good truck that I need to put about a half day of work(welding some exhaust hangers) in it and a new windshield to get it inspected.

Yes, I would rather have all Mopar in my possession, so that is why the Chevy is possibly on the block.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I too have three Mopars and am paying storage out the a** for two, but what do I do everyday?  Check all the classifieds for something else.  In reality I probably would sell one if I found something better as I think three is my limit.  Maybe two would be better?

Mine is a love hate relationship.  When I was at the cruise night the other day there was no car I loved more.  It looked stunning and drew nice crowds.  Then there are the times everything goes wrong or one thing goes wrong after another and it never stops and I hate it.  I do love it more than I hate it.  I miss my 70 SuperBee 440/6 dana 4spd air grabber car which was Lime green with the Go wing.  That my friends was awesome. But I love the Charger the most.  :icon_smile_big:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
