So after having had my car painted almost 6 years ago, I want to put Charger emblems back on the car. I've heard way too many people at shows etc. call it a challenger, Road runner, or something else crazy like "What make is that?".  But I don't have any info on what emblems went where. On fenders, doors, hood, trunk?

For a 73 I think there were just the Charger emblems on each door and one on the trunk lid.  I think an engine size was the only emblem on the hood and then of course there would be one on the glovebox door for the interior.

what year and model  EXACTLY are we talking about?

emblems changed with years and models... for example, 73/74 rallyes never got door emblems because they were on stripes, then some got middle molding stripe and just Charger above without arrow etc...

Several variations.

Only that everyone certainly shared is the DODGE and CHARGER emblems on passanger side trunk lid ( 72/74 ) and same location for CHARGER DODGE DIVISION one piece emblem on 71s... then at a side of a Bee, an R/T, SE tristar or 500  if it was one of those models for 71s

Well Nacho, maybe I should clarify myself. My car started life as a plain ol'  73 with a 400. It now is a little bit of a few things but most notably it has a 71 R/T Ramcharger hood, 71 R/T tail lights, and  a 74 SE interior with Rallye Gauges. A previous owner also had a full Vinyl top put on to look like a 71 (but with the opera windows). So it is far from original, BUT I'd like folks to see that it is a Charger and want the emblems on the side (and possibly on the hood and trunk) that id's the car as a Charger, and would like to place them at the places that LOOK correct.

ok, Dodge on hood, front driver side corner on cars without dodge on grilles ( all 71s and just 72s standart grilles got Dodge on grilles )

73/74 SES got the SE medalion emblem on Sail panel ( C pillar ). Also medalion pedestal on hood

71s got Charger and RT or Bees on Fenders.

72 SEs Got Charger on Fenders... there are some doubts about this, because some SEs got the Magnum ( if was magnum ) engines emblems too, small kind ones.

All bulged hoods ( all years ) got Magnum engine displacement emblems on bulges sides except on Bees where got it on  hood insert... 73/74 Rallyes with 318 only stated MAGNUM. Dunno about 72s 318 Rallyes

Then mostly of 73/74 without Rallye stripes got the Charger and Arrow on doors, but some basic models got just the Charger, some of them above the middle side molding.

71 SEs got the Tristar SE emblem on Sail Panel.

72s SEs got the tristar AND Special Edition Script o Sail panel

Non SE 72s got charger and arrow on Sail panel.

then pick up your wished setup. ;)
