I'm with Chuck on this one.  That car looks whipped.

And that steam engine comment was HILARIOUS.  I laughed out loud on that one. :smilielol:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

mikesbbody

$500 or less  :shruggy: it has the "buddy" seat, colume change and the rear looks kinda beat up (valance and bumper) but still some good parts on it. Would you want to restore it? or use it as a parts car?

The guy that owns the salvage yard was actually a mopar mechanic back in the day, so i could probably get his take on it.
Bring your own man...Not to say that the owner is dishonest but he is likely to have a favorable disposition towards the car...Also as said, get the vin and copy the fender tag if its still there and research the options the car came with. Post them here and someone will decipher them for you. This will help determine if the car is worth a restore...or a donor for parts. Providing it's not rusted to far to save. Sitting is bad...on the ground  :o I wish you luck and hope it works out. :2thumbs:

Ghoste

I agree, you need to bring an unbiased opinion with you.

I see the rear seat is still there...I wonder if the build sheet is under the seat in the springs????   :shruggy: A common hiding place for that brittle and easy to crumble page of info. Maybe ask for a peek??

69charger2002

that's a $200-300 71 charger with some 73 charger attitude that got thrown in along the way

Hmmm.. I wonder if you could still salvage that poor beast.  :shruggy:
Although I'm sure it's possible, it would take ALOT of time, money, and patience.
Definitely good for parts though.

And yeah, that dash.... hahaha  :smilielol:

I copied down the fender tag(hard to read, so some may be a bit off)

Maybe ......but you could probably find a better car for a little more money and be ahead in the game.

that's the thing. they're almost all "worth" rescuing based on what they are, however it's easy to tell someone to rescue it when we are not the ones that will be throwing $30k at a $20k car when finished. it has to be a labor of love and for a keeper. travis

I agree.  For 2-3k, you'd get a nice shell that would save you 5k or more in metal and repairs.  That thing is screaming rust.

Front frame rails I'd check sitting on the ground like that and with the leafs/needles on top sitting.

Ghoste

Travis is right although I would offer that if it's a labor of love then it almost becomes a keeper by default.

PocketThunder

Buy it for $200, drag it home, powerwash it down and put it on ebay.  Take that money and move up to a little nicer car.  :Twocents:

Wha kind of money could I make off of it by cleaning and re sale ing it, or parting it out?
