You said car but the link dosen't go to any certain car? I assume you're talking about a Charger so it must be one of these?

It's a nice car.
However, there's always the risk of buying stuff sight-unseen.  In that case, you're really on your own if you find something wrong with the car that was never said or mentioned.
On the other hand, they DO have 100% positive feedback, have been pretty descriptive about the car, and have shown plenty of pictures.  They appear to be a reputable company, but then again, you never know.

alot of $$$ for a car with alot of incorrect things...     trunk not painted, engine looks like shit, non original R/T, open 3.23 rear end, A/C controls are a joke, incorrect exhaust manifolds, old wiring throughout....

That shot of the trunk with the mat peeled back is a little scary.

The trunk floor is smooth (well as smooth as a plastic spreader can make it) and goes all the way out to the quarter.
It almost looks like a bucket of filler was poured in and spread around to seal everything up.

You should be able to see the trunk extension drop off.

I was going to say there is something not right with the trunk.   :yesnod:  I think you will find a fair amout of bondo in the back of that car.  Several things are not right.    :rotz:   How about some pictures under it in back ?  It looks like some bubbling in the back down low behind the tires.   In this day and age I would NOT buy without inspecting in person.  NO WAY !   Or, having a member here check the car out that knows where to look.   :yesnod:   If it was me I would keep looking.   Anyone that sells Chargers knows where the bad spots are and if they DON'T post pictures up close of those areas that makes me nervous.   These guys are making money on this so they should post pics of the frame and underneath behind the quarters.

Run away!!!!!! Unless you want to change the whole trunk floor and all of that BS. Judging by the trunk, who knows what else is bondoed.

I'd be all over that if it were around $20,000....as they said great for local cruise nights and some fun.....Why does every car that doesn't meet up to everyones version of the perfect car get criticized? and I mean overly..OK maybe that's harsh, I apologize... but has no one had a car that the trunk floor was patched in?.........that floor in that car looks like it has been fiberglassed...not bondo.....not saying that was a great idea and certainly not right.....but if the car was blasted and then fiberglassed it could last many years....and yes I know it tends you think more is wrong...But

This car has so many nice trim/interior bumpers grill etc.....you could buy a car like this and drive for many years as is!.....then someday make it
right...and reuse most of the nice stuff...man it costs over a thousand dollars just to rechrome bumpers...

Sure you could buy a car for $5000...then spend $5000 on body work....$1000 or more on Grill...tires/Interior motor rebuild, exhaust brakes etc...and have a really nice car 5 years down the road and having spent $30,000-$40,000 on it or more if your not doing most of the work yourself...and have guys tell ya the wiring wasn't replaced and the hose clamps are wrong...and then tell ya its not worth more then $20,000.......

What I am trying to say is that a car doesn't have to be perfect....Almost ALL cars have Bondo on them, some more then others...Some of my best memories have been in cars that I wasn't afraid to drive.......the ones I made perfect(in my opinion) I was afraid to drive it and park at a mall...What fun is that?

Maybe this car is A book ya shouldn't just judge by the cover, maybe under the skin its bad..who knows......and I would never buy a car unless I go and see it (unless it was cheap) or had a friend look at it for me....maybe there are members here that could check it out for you that live close by it?...If I lived near a car I would certainly do that for a forum member......

Good Luck and don't be to eager to dive into a deal.......I know in Canada by having the VIN I can check into past owners...by getting a vehicle sellers package for $20 .....Then you could contact the previous owner to see what was done to this car....he has nothing to hide now, the car is not his anymore...

I think the problem is "they say it's good" with no pics of the bottom side and a trunk that corners were cut on repairing correctly.  This tells me that this car is not as good as you might think it is.   I may be wrong.  :shruggy:   Who knows until it's looked at more close.  :yesnod:  A shiny paint job means nothing anymore when buying off ebay or out of state.  I have seen my share of people making a car look nice and shiny but not doing the patch work or metal work correct.   To me, a paint job is like a hair cut.  It can be changed over and over again.  The real value is what's under the paint.  This may be a real nice car but, there are red flags that would make me look real close.  :Twocents: :yesnod:

That "Fast Lane" Place is about 40 minutes from my house.

The cars around here rust terribly due to the ridiculous amount of road salt dumped on our highways every winter.

Expect rust, and LOTS of it.

That "Fast Lane" place is kind of a local joke among area car guys.

Mostly people just go there when they need a good laugh.

RUN AWAY!

Well there ya go....Straight from a member that knows!......I guess the Sad thing is then that some poor sole will soon depart with $25,000 and own some classic rust...

Thanks for the headsup

based on the fact that it's being sold by a a company I would run away.  seems most who buy a car from one of these "classic car dealers" come on here a few months later with the horror story.

you can't restore these cars right and make money on it...unless you hold on to them for a long while and the hit an upswing in the market.  These companies are out to make money and they aren't holding onto anything for very long.   add up that math and you can only come to one conclusion: corners were cut.

That trunk floor.  Best case scenario is that they fixed it ok with a flat sheet of metal.  but why?  someone spent money on this car obviousely...why not buy a trunk pan?  they don't exactly cost a lot.

and why put an open rear in a muscle car?

Thanks for all the replys I was not really looking at it to buy no money right now anyways , just wanted to see what you guy thought i didn't like the trunk picture either :eek2:. I hope to someday restore a Charger myself so i know how it was done, even if it is not great i will have the satisfaction knowing I did it. I love this site lots of great help here.   Thanks Jake
