I have seen 2nd Gens converted, but never a 3rd Gen. autodynamics did the conversion in his '69. I'm sure he could help ya... :yesnod:

I think you mean HID's not LED's. I dont believe there is a "true"HID conversion kit available. And im not talking about the cheapo 150$ kits that just shove a HID bulb into a standard socket, but the 600$+ kits that are truly HID lights, projectors and all.

Most people buy the cheapo kits and blind everyone else on the road, the true kits have a VERY distinct line between light and no light, thus not blinding other drivers.

Heres what a real set of HID's should look like

I have still yet to find someone who has retrofitted a projector assembly into our headlights...      I am thinking about doing that - just want to get my Charger running / driving first - I can always do those later...       :2thumbs:

Ive done a bunch of research into this project.

And unfortunately the depth needed for the projector housing wont easy fit a charger without hacking it up.

Plus the styling IMHO does not fit a charger at all.

There is one housing that would look awesome I think, but they are rare and cost over $600.
Not to meantion the other $200 or so to get it working.

For now I say its a no go. Possible ya.  But not cost effective or stylish.

Agreed - the HID lamps do not fit the charger's styling...   but I believe that my grill doors will be down 99% of the time...    the only time they will be up is at night...   when my headlights are on...     at which point all you see is light when looking at them...      I plan on using projectors and some spare parts i have laying around to make it all work...
