I am thinking of getting a set of dog dishes for my 66 charger. The rims I have now are steel 15" and will be cleaning them up tomorrow  and then giving them a paint job. Question is, are all dog dishes the same, will these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=160328543029 fit on the rims that I have, or is there a certain rim that theses hub caps fit on. Or am I wasting my time.

Dog dish caps come in two diameters, 9" and 10". The 10" caps fit the earlier 14" wheels and the 9" caps fit the 15" wheels. At some point in the mid-sixties they changed the centers so that both wheels use the 9" cap. It's best to measure if unsure.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks for the heads up. Problem is I just pulled a Homer Simpson. After getting the old rubber off the rims and cleaning them up with a grinder and sandblasting them, I noticed this afternoon after working on the #!$&* rims for a couple of hours, that I have three different styles, and one is wider than the others :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: and one as four dimples instead of three. So back to square one. Thanks for your help and hope I didn't waste anyone else time with this thread.

If you are looking for a good set of 15" steel rims.  I have the set from CB on here that I could not use.  I can take pics of them for you if you want.  Two are 15x6 1/2 and 2 are 15x7.  Really nice set, I just could not use them cause the tires that I have that would be going onto them are 14" tires.  PM me if you are interested.

Denis, i have a set just like the ones pictured in the auction below....these are the Dog Dishes i was telling you about. The ones you linked to in your post above are for 14in wheels.

I also have those 15x8 steel wheels that would work perfect with a 255/60/15 or if you wanted a taller (my favorite  :icon_smile_big:) 275/60/15 tire.

Thanks Resq302 and Ron for your offer :2thumbs:, but I have decided to stay original for now. I just picked up a set of original rims for the car so I can re-install the spinner hub caps. Maybe later on I will change wheel styles, but for now other moneys will need to be spent on a new rad, exhaust system and god knows whatever else it needs to be road worthy. Thanks again.

Likewise!  Always good to meet another member of the board here.  Glad you were impressed with what was under the cover in the garage also.  Or was that the whole reason why you came?  Anyway, Christian (CB) was glad to hear the rims went to a good home and that someone could use them also. :2thumbs:
