That's spelled "humour" for our British friends. :nana:

And "independent" nations still actually under the Queens rule and using her English (eg. Canada).

Picked up the car on Satuday in NJ.

Couple of things.

First off, Paterson NJ is a shithold. My god.  :eek2: The dealer was in Wayne and as I am sitting in the middle of downtown Paterson, my gps says that the dealership 5 miles away. My wife is not thrilled with the prospect of getting out of the car in this area. We drive 5 miles to the dealer and it's a totally different world. Nice neighborhood, expensive houses. I tell her as we get out of the car, "No one from Wayne goes in that direction. There has to be abother way out of town." Sure enough, the sales mgr tells us, "We don't go that way." and gives us directions out of town.

Second, I'm talking to the sales mgr and tell him that I still can't believe anyone would trade a car in with just 2000 miles.

He tells us the story. This guy is a retired cop. He lost his wife of 40 years 5 years ago. He comes in and shoots the breeze with the sales guys every morning. lonely. 4 years ago, he goes out and buys himself a new car. His daughter calls him and bitches him out for spending her inheritance!  :flame: Since then, he comes in every year, buys a new car and drives it by her house to show her. He tells her not to worry, she can have whatever he's driving when his time comes.  :nana:  :smilielol:

I used to do some land surveying in Paterson when I worked in NJ, some areas you'll need to be armed.

That would have been cool but with a 5 hour drive home, we hit the road.

Next time.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.
