Schutz Gun Problem - HELP???

Hello,

I pulled out my schutz gun this weekend to undercoat inside my frame rails and trunk. When I went to spray the undercoating nothing came out. I then cleaned the gun out by soaking it in thinner for a couple of hours. Then tried again and it still was not working. I also tried to thin the undercoating a bit as I thought maybe it was too thick. I did notice that it appeared that there were globs of material in it. I then tried again still nothing.

I then purchased more undercoating and the secoond batch looked better. No blobs in it. I also had cleaned the gun again. Still did not work. I then went and bought another brand new gun. This did not work either.

I can get thinner to spray out of both guns but it they do not seem to be picking up the undercoating. I can hear the undercoat bubbling in the can when I pull the trigger. Thi is very strange as I have never had an issue with undercoating and have used it a ton.

I do not have a regulator on my compressor and it is set to 125 psi. Could this be the issue as I see the guns working pressures are 50-75 psi?

Any suggestions as my 1 hour job has turned into a 8 hour one!

Left the gun soak overnight and still no luck. I took it all apart and somebody had shoved a plastic tube in the large pickup tube and jammed it up halfway in there. After removing this it worked flawlessly.

How big of a tip are you using for undercoating?

I was just spraying inside the frame rails and connectors using a schutz gun. The tip diameter would be approx 5/16".
