Trav, you're a huge smartass...but I like your style :icon_smile_big:

Cody your a great kid.Now hang with me on this one as it sounds like you are having trouble with the funds {arn't we all } so just ask if they have some jobs around that you can do to pay for it even help pay for it.My mate asked grandad for his ute but said he didn't have the funds could he pay it off to which they said sure.Couple of months went by and he got a call to go pick the ute up he said he hadn't been able to save much they said just pick it up it's yours. The car clocked 10 000 miles up on the drive home. Now 10 years later it has run 13.5 1/4's on tripple webers month ago he put a turbo charger on it.If these guys know you ask can't hurt.

cheers

"Yawk-sa pawn tsu-ya?" would go a long way to start a conversation. If they come back at you with a bunch of Polish, you can wave it off and say "That's all I know." They'll still love ya for it. Especially the old lady. Listen for the word "dobe-ja" which means good.

It means "How are you?" and the "pawn" part is the masculine form. If you're addressing a woman, change it to "pawnie"
"Yawk-sa pawnie tsu-ya?"

That is the phonetic spelling. Say just like it reads. The real spelling is "Jak sa pan" or "Jak sa pani" (I can't find the exact spelling for the tsu-ya part. I'll see if I can find my book.)

And no, I'm not yanking your chain and giving you swear words. (My wife won't teach me any.  :rotz: )

Ya right but she probably yells them at you all the time!.. hahaha  :smilielol:

Cody i would sell your Coronet and Duster and take that cash up to the house and go from there.  Then you will have a 68 and 69 that need $20k worth of work.  Then sell the 68 and put all that money into your '69.  One car = One money pit.  :Twocents:

It never hurts to ask. A friend of my grandpa's had a old mustang sitting for years by his barn I wanted that car something bad one day I told my grandpa I was going to ask about , went down the road and it was gone. I asked about itand he told me "I didn't know you where interested in it, I wouls have let you have the dang thing"! Let it go for $100 :rotz: My loss. SO GO FOR IT!!

If you don't have any cash to buy it, don't be knocking on the door. Nothing personal, but i would not be pulling the tarp of for a 16 year old to look at it. But if you do,can i use the pics for my Site??????  :nana:

I know when i was your age ,I had a Roadrunner and it took every cent i had to maintain it and put gas in the tank. I was in school and worked two part time jobs. Here is my advice, stick to one project at a time. No since in having a bunch of cars that your going to fix up some day. Even now, 20 years later i see a project that i would like to buy, but walk away because i want to drive the car i'm working on in the near future. I figure the more projects i buy ,the longer it will take to get my charger on the road. my  :Twocents:

:iagree:
Better to have one ongoing project or completed car then a few rusting project hulls in the driveway. If you have $3K drop it on your car, you can't save them all.

Pretty soon you may be the guy kids are asking if they can buy your car to try and save it.

Haha if i were you i would sel the coronet for some cash, then come up with like $2000 total and be like "its your for the charger".

People think differently when they see the cash.

Or you could go stir crazy and work 4 part time jobs while going to school to pay for all the cars you only have weekends to work on...like me!
:2thumbs:
If worse comes to worse ask around and see if any friends or family members would be interested in it. That way you'd be able to keep an eye on it. Beats having it go to the crusher plus you might have a chance to buy it back when you have more money on hand. :Twocents:

The word is FOCUS.  Start one project & finish it before you go looking for another.  There are probably millions of partially-disassembled cars across America because they're owners ignored that simple rule.  It also explains why it took me 8 years to reassemble my wife's VW bug.  Lesson learned here.

Sorry kid, tough love.

Not to sound rude but I think people are getting confused here. I'm not looking to buy it. My dad would be buying it for a project for himself at his house. I'm just wondering if I should ask if it's gonna dissapear because of the house's being built.

If your Dad is interested, then he should contact them directly.  If he's not, then the topic is moot.

You asked, so that's what I'd do.
