Is the vapor separator also the fuel filter?

Is there supposed to be another filter on an R/T, or is the vapor separator the only filtering in the fuel system?

The vapor seperator is not a filter also.  Basically it is a dual chamber can with three tubes with tight tolerance "metering" holes.

From the factory, most old Mopars only had the fuel "sock" on the pick-up tube and a sintered bronze or screen type "filter" at the fuel inlet on the carb for fuel filtration...

Sometimes the vap. sep. and the fuel tank sock were it...on 440-6's anyway. The Vette tri-powers had the sintered brass filters (and bigger carb lines) the Mopar 440-6 didn't. I have to check the Hemi's.
