I recently bought a 69 Charger project and need help identifying a few parts please.

The charger was a rotisserie restoration, and all of the pieces are in boxes. I have never owned one of these cars so I have no idea where some items are used.

Thank you in advance; I will post progress info as I go.

Also, I have read many posts here and am thankful to have found this board.  :yesnod:

1 and 2  Front Bumper brackets - A 1 goes with a 2 to make one side.

3  Front crossmember that goes between the bottom of the bumperettes low, behind the grill.

4 - Can't tell - mouldings?

5 - Front license plate bracket

4 = no idea

5 = license plate holder -  bolts to bottom center of bumper

The piece to the far left next to (3) that you don't have numbered is the inner fender splash shield(attaches to the valance panel and the fender)

That one appears to be face up in your picture which would make it the driver side IFSS.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

mikepmcs

You sure number 4 isn't some sort of line(s) that run on the underside of the car?  It almost appears that when the picture was taken the 2 lines were put together just to make the picture cleaner.  Appears to have connections both on top and bottom.  I blew it up but it was distorted real quick.

Part #4 is one-half of an old fashioned "pants stretcher". Insert the smaller end into one leg of a pair
of freshly laundered denim jeans, release the little spring attachment, pull outward to stretch the
jeans for drying purposes. Do the same with the other end in the hip area. When dry, jeans have a
nice crease.

Thank you! These responses help.

#4 has 2 pieces that can adjust the size of the square. There are 2 of the squares. The wire is fairly thin.

I will buy that for a dollar!

I feel a little silly though.  :hah:

I'm glad to see you write that. I was thinking that was what it looked like but I wasn't sure enough to leave a response.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Ok, where do I get the pants stretcher, that's a great idea. :icon_smile_big:

BROCK

Too thin to be trunklid torsionbars?  Perhaps I'm wrong all to tegether -
that's just what I first thought of when looking at the pics.

To Mikepmcs: With clothes dryers being common now, I doubt pants stretchers are still available. I've
had mine about 40 years and my Mom had them before me an unknown numbers of years. They probably
date back to the 40's-50's if not longer. She probably got them at JCPenneys or Sears.

mikepmcs

Dang, that would have cut down on my ironing time significantly and less dryer use.
Thanks for the response.

Send me a 12 pack of PBR, and a smack in the head and I will ship them :smilielol: to you...

Don't know what I would need them for, I don't usually wear pants, but when I do, it's usually something exotic...

Just goofin'...
