Cant find radiator that fits small block!!! Please Help!!!

I have a 1973 with a stock 318.  The radiator needs to be changed out, but everywhere i go im told that the original radiator for that model is an 18"x22" core. The problem is that my car has an 18-3/4"x27-1/2" installed on it now!  And when i ask for that size, all of the connectors are in the wrong places, and now the hoses wont reach, i dont want to replace those too, plus it shouldnt be that way.  What can i do?  Am i missing something?  Would it be a bad idea to go to a 22" core?

Try this one...I just bought and installed it...I have a 400 auto and it fit fairly well...You will have to do a little work to get it in, but not much....
