A small oversight on my part, we have both the motor and transmission in the car but we found that the 904 shifter linkage does not line up with the 727. We have the linkage from the 1970 new yorker but it is a column shift and the charger is a floor shift. What do you suggest doing and if i need to buy parts where should i get them from. Help fast, time is running out in the college sumester (2 weeks left).

Just for an update, we switched from a small block to a big block.

you need a shifter lever like the one on top

is that the only part needed to make the shifter work? Can it just be made or do I have to order it, and if so where can I find it (Ive searched what seems like the entire internet for it)?

I think you'll have to search for a used one.

Is this the right lever?

Also, what does the 904 lever look like in comparison?
