Have a 69 charger. Will an oil pump with a external suction line fit in a 69 charger with power steering? looks pretty busy down there. Is it necessary for 600 hp street motor ?
1969 dodeg charger, 528 hemi ,Tko 5spd.

I run a Milodon external dual line oil system, deep oilpan with a swinging oilpickup. But this engine will also se RPM over 7000rpm..

Note, the oil line that goes over the oil pump does not work, it will interfere with the headers, so I switched it so its routed to go under the oil pump.

It may well be an overkill for most street engines, but then again I think its a good investment. It is expensive, but its more expencive to rebuild an engine.. So my opinion is that a good oiling system is well worth the money spent...

Honestly -   no      it is not needed for a 600hp street engine    :Twocents:                  1/2 internal pickup and clean up the oil tube to galley junction if you can...
