I've procured a bunch of muscle car era Indiana plates. Unfortunately, Indiana's YOM law means paying an extra $50/year for the priviledge of using one. Consequently, I haven't registered one to a vehicle.

I do have a nice 71 dealer plate that I use to hang on the GTX for shows. Unfortunately, more often than not, I'd forget to remove it before hitting on the road. Never got busted though.

This isn't mine, but the '69 Ohio plate looked like this:

I have a few...

Plus, I found a guy (in Pennsylvania, no less!) that had two unused 1969 Missouri vehicle inspection stickers and matching registration forms.  Just waiting to slap one of those on the Daytona when it's finally done too.

I wanted one from every month.  Actually have duplicates of some months, since I put a Jan '69 plate on the R/T (1/27/69 SPD) and have a second June plate for the Daytona (6/9/69 SPD).  The coolest plate out of that bunch is the Dealer plate, so I can "test-drive" my own 1969 Dealer Demo...

Is that the one all the way at the bottom next to the trailer plate? :scratchchin:
NICE COLLECTION MAN!! :drool5:

mauve66

i just realized the months were on them, all the ones i've seen only had a blank spot for the sticker, even years before 66....... example i know of a 62 plate with a 66 sticker on it but no month........ wonder what the differences were for those plates

usually no, each state has their own rules, most will let you run an older, REAL, plate as long as the car is a certain # of years old and the plate is the correct colors, no customizing allowed, thats why plates like 4406pak, 426hemi are so expensive to get used, plus they will check to see if that number/letter combo is already being used on a current car with current plates (depending on how old your used plate is its possible that they are using it again)
