I just found a 69 charger R/T, in garage since 1985. Originally 440/4 speed car, not sure what motor is now. Car is complete & pretty solid/W some surface rust throughout underside. It's a 1 owner car showing 49,000+ miles on dash, a nice find. I've always been a car enthusisist but mostly GM, need help in decoding fender tag, & figuring what motor is in it. Any and all responces are appreciated. Fender tag nos. R21 V6W Y09 26 ED

It's a 1970......

And if it were a Canadian car, it would have a single 'C' code or like my '69 have 'B' infront of the order number instead of the 'E' this '70 has.

Y09 is Export order.

If you find a broadcast sheet for it, I bet you find Y11 as well.

Chrysler had a Military Sales Program, if a US serviceman ordered a car from overseas, it was coded Y09 since the order originated outside the country.

As part of the program, the serviceman would pick a dealership in the US to have the car shipped to. He would then pick it up there on his return stateside. Since the car has N95, the dealership in this case was in California. I have seen a fair amount of Y09 / Y11 cars with N95, it is because most of the gang returning from Vietnam came back into the states via San Diego.

N95 is Evaportive Emission Control - NOX did not come around until 1971.

C6XW = white seat interior with back carpet.
C31 should be G31 R/H outside manual chrome mirror

Sounds like a nice looking car.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.
