I think I am going to sell my stock hood with the TA scoop as I plan to buy a fiberglass hood and I have no where to store the current one.  How much do you guys think I can get for it?  I am thinking $150 but I am not sure.

How is it grafted in? Bolted?

It is bolted but there are is also a two sided glue strip between the hood and the scoop.  Here is another closer view:

You still can't really see how it is attached though.  I did this myself and I must confess I am no body man but it doesn't look to bad.

Nice looking hood.   nice job.  I'm not up on 3rd gen. parts but I would think it's worth at least 3 bills.

Very nice. I would agree 150-200. Especially if someone already had a blue SE. :2thumbs:

Thanks Bob!  I appreciate it.

Good luck with selling it. I once had a '73 SE hood for sale for so long, I wound up giving it away to get it out of my way.

Thanks Bob!  I appreciate it.

That could quite possibly be matched to a 74SE :D

I think you may be better off just selling the scoop honestly unless you can find a local buyer.  Shipping a hood is expensive and risky, and as mentioned above you cant hardly give a stock hood away.

if i drove my 73 and it was not yellow i would buy it but i do not plan on driving my 73 till next year other than tomorrow. but 150-200 seems good.

No,

I placed the order though.  They said it would be about five weeks.  Selling the hood worked great.  A member of this board from Minnesota wanted it.

Cool, I am dropping off the VFN at the body shop today, about the time yours shows up, I should have mine fitted.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the pictures.  Here is a question, if a guy wanted to, could he just bolt that hood on until he is ready to do some body work?  I have seen pictures of it and it looks to be pretty nice.  I might spray it a satin black for now.  What do you think?

Beer

I will let ya know, when I dropped the hood off this afternoon they were working on the drivers rocker and said they will have the front fenders and hood on by next week, they need to have that in place to align the doors and then weld in the new rear quarters.  So in theory I should have some pics in a week maybe two, and feedback from the body shop on just bolting it on.

Did ya get the springs as well?

ya, i'm gonna snag it for my car. I like the look what can i say. I just have to mold the scoop on the hood and spray it black before i bolt it on. it will be nice to have a hood i can close now. :icon_smile_big:
