68 upper door pad medallions and chrome trim reinstall

hey i am going to recover my door pads on my 68 charger. but before i do how would i reattach the door pad medallions? they have a rivet type holding them on. ill have to drill out to take them off but then if i do that how would i get them to go back on? also the chrome window trim/felt how would i put them back on? they are held on by heavy duty staples. any advise is welcome thanks
