Got pulled over one day for having the electric cut outs open on public streets. He said it was too loud for the street so I shut them. He loved the general and wanted to look at it..(no ticket) Then I took a cop for a ride and we went by the station and did a burn out in the parking lot (he told me too) but no one came out?

Many years ago I got pulled over in my 68 in Woonsocket, RI.  This other guy in a 70 Charger also in black primer had earlier in the evening run from the police and got away.  When they saw another black primer Charger in the area, they pulled me over and gave me a complete grilling.  Fortunately for me I had gone there straight from work.  I'm not sure if they believed me at the time, but they let me go with the parting comment to "Get the loud exhaust fixed".

No Ticket.

Only to check out my car.  I've been asked if it can burn rubber, does it have the horn and what engine do I have.  No tickets.  But, I don't do anything to get tickets either.  I have spun the tires for two cops though.  :icon_smile_big:

LIES! I specifically remember someone accelerating as hard as he could as we were headed towards the cops! Oh and I remember a certain BELGIAN getting in the car with an open can of beer, like it was a normal thing...lol

Same for me with my 1st Charger.  One time the cop thought that some fuses that were visible in my console were crack viles  :poke:
I had a good laugh about that one  :smilielol:

Thad, I was just showing you that the cops don't bother me and I get away with more than most.  The cops did nothing remember, so that means I did nothing wrong.   :nana:

Man, don't even get me started.

I was absolutely persecuted when I used to street drive my GL replica (mid 1990s).  I'd be lucky to go a month without being at least pulled over.  If I wasn't doing anything wrong at the time then they'd literally just make something up.

I had a red '70 Camaro with a 400 small block for about a year.  I think every weekend I went out I got pulled over.  One night I boiled the tires from the stop sign and seen a cop so slammed on the brakes.  I hit the brakes so hard that while he was talking to me when he pulled me over, he seen a bottle of Wild Turkey that had slid out from under the seat under my buddy's legs.  Illegal possession of alcohol (minor), lost my license for 90 days.
Before that I had three "unnecessary wheel spinning" tickets in about two months time.

Around '84 I sold that Camaro and bought my first Mope.  My buddies compared me to a alcoholic gone sober as I babied that Mope everywhere with the occasional romp.  The R/T had bias ply tires that were about out of tread and I wanted to preserve them.

Anyhow, I went OTR for about 6 years averaging 150k miles a year.  Then heavy haul up here in the NW.
NO moving violations since '84 or so and never pulled over in a Mopar.

I like to think it's required I have some GOOD luck on occasion.

I could have easily remove and move on, but NO i got a fix it ticket, believe that? i could tell you guys stories for hours about tickets!

Twice, in one trip to the Nats back when it was in Indy. Not for speeding or burnouts. Worse than that. The first one was because I had my turn signal on for more than 2 blocks. I wasn't aware that was a felony in Indianapolis. The second one was because I wasn't already at my hotel room. Seems that if you stop ANYWHERE between the track and your hotel room, you are loitering.  They couldn't find anything wrong on my car so I just got warnings. Can you guess where I'll never go again if they move the Nats?

last week i took out mine on a cold crisp night after ive been working on it... so went around town roads were empty four lane road, nobody in either direction...and then i let it rip....................it was the fastest yet it felt.... i went through 3 gears and let off..... a mile down the road.... i get the "whoop whoop" from a cop behind me... so i pull over had over my info...and he says " do you know how fast you were going????? i had you doing atleast 80" i said "80?" but i meant that i was insulted because i knew i was well over 100....... after some helpful connections i had he let me go..... and i went back home...... but damn.80? i was saying to myself man... i know i was well over 100 and half of that was sideways.........atleast i can laugh about it.......

General_01

I can't remember how many times I have been pulled over. I know I never got a ticket in the General thought. :2thumbs:

I remember a ticket I got in the Bee about '94-'95. It was the first time I drove it to work in the Spring of that year. I drove my '85 El Camino down this road at about 45 mph in a 40 all the time. This morning I did the same exact thing in my Bee and guess what? Got a ticket. :brickwall:

Another time in the Bee a cop pulled me over for Reckless. I was on a 4 lane that narrowed to a 2 lane past a farm and then opened back up to 4 lanes again. I took off next to a van. I was  in the outside lane and stepped on the gas to get ahead of the van. I got to the next stop sign. As I left the stop sign I notice out of the corner of my eye a car next to me that just kept going through the sign. I look over and it was a cop pointing to the side of the road to pull over. He walked the whole car looking for anything to write up. He gave me a ticket for reckless for cutting the van off when I switched lanes and a ticket for speeding.

I went to court and talked to the prosecutor before my case and told him my story. I told him I may have sped a little to get by the van, but I did not cut the van off. I told him I would not jepordize my car, which was worth 3 times what that van was. He took the reckless off and I paid my speeding ticket.

So that makes two I can remember in the Bee. :icon_smile_big:

BROCK

I got in the habit of seeing just how quickly I could get to a 100 on this certain service
road in D/FW.  On this last occasion I happened to look in my rearview mirror & thought
I saw a cop way back in the distance.  Sure enough, it was.  So I pulled off onto a side
street, got my walet out & sat on the trunklid.  When he arrived he threw open the door
& just about tripped over it trying to get to me.  He was a very large man.  Very comical.
I still laugh to this day at the memory of him trying to get around that door & put his
nightstick in his belt at the same time.  Yep, I got a ticket.  He wrote 75 in a 45.  Whew.
It pays to be nice & honest.

I also got a ticket for do 95 while coming out of a clover.  At that point, I didn't speed
on the straitaways anymore.  I didn't have the heart to tell him I was slowing down!!!
