Wiring Question

Okay, I am redoing my 68 with a 383- now 431.  I bought all new wiring harnesses and I am ready to wire this thingbut I have 3 Questions

1. If I go with an internally regulated alt, what wiring changes need to be made to my harness?  ( what do I do with the wires that would normally go to the firewall mounted regulator?

2. If I decide to bypass the ammeter inside, what do I do with the large wires that go to the ammeter, and do I hook the alt straight to the battery or can I hook it up to the starter relay?

3. I am also Installing a MSD 6AL, do the power wires need to go straight to the battery, and if I do an internally regulated alt does this change anything with the wiring needs of the MSD unit?
