did they make a 418 in 1970????

i'm looking at buying a 1970 dodge motor home. i haven't seen it yet but the owner says it has a 418 in it? did they make an engine with that displacement? :shruggy:

They made 318s (too small for a motorhome).  They also made 413s, a few 426 wedges, and a lot of 383s & 440s & 400s.

i'm going to look at it wed. i bet that's what he meant a 413. what do you guys think of the 413 engines?

I'm confused, I thought the 413 grew into the 440 around 68, so what's it doing in a 70 motor home?

There were plenty of 318's in Motorhomes. Some rather big! Plenty of 318's in big trucks also!

413 is an industrial engine they kept in production... many found their way into motorhomes.

I think a 418 is a lightly honed 413.

angled dist in front would be 413, vertical dist in back would be 318, how big is the RV?? is it like a dodge tradesman van conversion (probably a 318) or a winnebago (probably a 383, 400, 413,440)
