Damnit!!! You spoiled it for me!!!! :RantExplode: :icon_smile_wink: All I can say is AGAIN, the wrong choice is made. Oh well, Adam has an awesome career ahead of him, look at how well Daughtry is doing.
I think the winner is chosen by the number of votes so i would say  the right choice was made since he got the most votes, but since he is from Conway where i live i have to say good for him. just my  :Twocents: But Adam will do fine aswell

...and Chris? Over ADAM? Seriously??

Musta been the teenage girls and cougars that pushed him to the win.....

Wow, Fantasia, Ruben and now Kris?

Adam is truly the better all around everything. Even Kris knew he wasn't the real winner. It's almost better not to win the competition. Look at the list of successful non-winners.

resq302

Personally, I don't think that Adam should have even been able to qualify for American Idol since if you have a previous professional singing career, you are not eligiable.  Adam has been on broadway performer which is why he has the performance that he does.  He is a good performer but over dramatizes I think a bit too much, but again, that is what Broadway does also.  One thing that I did not like about him was his shrill screaming that he called singing.

jaak

Both Dudes could sing... but Adam was way too "theatrical". Kris is what American Idol is all about, I can see him as a pop-star. I think America made the right choice.

I'm betting neither one of them wanted to sing the "winning" song. [Simon voice]What a load of tripe.[/Simon voice]
I wonder if Kris is obligated to record it. I'd be side-stepping it like a pile on the sidewalk.

Did anyone notice the look that Steve Martin gave that girl singing his song?  :smilielol:
I have no idea what her name is.

Was Rod Stewart drunk?  :yesnod:

I hadn't planned on watching, but my wife talked me into it. I'm glad. It was a pretty good show. I did threaten to leave the house if Lionel Ritchie started singing "Dancing On the Ceiling", though.  :eek2:

prediction...adam goes further since chris will be pinned down by idol execs for a while :Twocents:

also...chris...props for being a cool guy...i heard he isn't moving straight into recording so he can spend time with his wife...good 4 u dude :2thumbs:

More AI winner info for those that find the show stupid.

Related: Bing, Chris Daughtry
Chris Daughtry may not have won "American Idol," but he has set a show record: becoming the first "Idol" alumnus to have back-to-back #1 albums.

(What about Kelly Clarkson, you ask? Well, the original "Idol" winner was the first to have two #1 records, but hers weren't consecutive.)

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

MINE TOO!!!  On a side note, the girls were not impressive tonight at all.  They are good, but I felt like I just got done going to a karaoke night at Buffalo Wild Wings.

every season they say the talent is getting better and better , but I think it gets watered down each year .  I have a couple favorite girls but like you was not impressed last night .

A few are really good, but overall the show bores me this year.  Ellen has no reason to be there, she hurts the show in my opinion.
