I've seen guys pay big bucks for NOS decals before. They can be a little on the brittle side.

I have those packages, too--they're from the mid 70's, so they're hardly true NOS.  real, real NOS ones are in the white/blue chrysler parts packaging.

the cool thing about ones that old is that the material is thicker than the replacements, so they feel right on the car.  I put one of the ancient headlight door birds on my B5 car about 10 years ago and it's holding up fine.

I have very old sets of both the quarter and wing decals that I got with the car. What are the potential problems I would run into should I attempt to use them on the new paint?

I was going to try them and if them seemed to be too old and would not work I would remove them before they had a chance to set up/dry. Any opinions on this future escapade? Im not ready for this step but Id figure Id ask since its been brought up.
wingless now, but still around.

I plan on using mine, and buying new ones if they don't stick

One of my friends worked at a decal factory in the early '70's when I was in High School. I still have hundreds of old Road Runner decals. They are a lot more brittle now than they were in the '70's. They don't go around curved surfaces as well as new ones would. The glue still seems to stick just fine, as an example every new pair of skis I have ever had has had a Road Runner on the right tip. I put about 250 days on a pair of skis; snow, ice, freezing, scraping tips and I don't have to replace the decals.

I bought a NOS R/T Stripe, and it was worthless...  $12 bucks on eBay.

I bought a pair on e-bay a couple of weeks ago for $60 inc shipping. I was worried that they might not be good, but they're on the wingrunner now and they look pretty darn nice. Now I need another set for the other wing. I'll keep watching e-bay for another good deal.

The pair that I bought on e-bay went onto the 69. The flash makes the lettering look white. Looks pretty good white, but the hood has the blackout option and I thought that the black lettering would balance things out. I'll save the white ones for a future project that I'm working on.
