I must of looked at over 500 Charger pictures on the net, and cannot find one Orange 69 charger with a white tail stripe.  I had a thought of going with a white stripe instead of a black stripe, but for the life of me I can't find a single car?  Is it that ugly of an combination?

Any pictures?  :shruggy:

the stripes are usually dark on light colors...     so i dont think it is even an option back in the day...      :shruggy:

did you check the pics on Chris's '69 site?..

Ghoste

Don't know why but I keep thinking that there was a 69 500 out there with a white stripe?

captnsim

Not a 69 but orange. I can't remember where I stole this...maybe the 70 registry.  :shruggy:

Ghoste

Even though it's not a 69 you still get the idea if you squint slightly.

Oh no, you didn't get permission?    Now how about without the vinyl top and a set of sport wheels?   :hah:
I like the look in red, not to sure about on orange.  Probably not.
Not for me, kinda remindes me of a creamsicle.

Really, I think it comes down to finding a 1969 Charger R/T in orange, with a white interior.

Chris, IIRC, isn't that car a real late SPD?

Not in orange there isn't. :)

Do you know of any that may have been done that way (even say 20 years ago?) but of course not coded for it Danny?

V2 wasn't introduced as a color until after the '69 Charger500 production ceased.  There was at least one 99 99 "Omaha" Orange Charger500 produced, but I don't recall off the top of my head which color its stripe is/was.

There are several Daytonas that I know of with V2/white stripe combinations, and they look good:

Ghoste

No, no not coded for it; was there one out there years back that had been done that way?  I have this nagging thought in the back of my mind that someone did one that way but given the reliability of my memory I concede to the experts naturally.

Geno, what's the earliest V2 Daytona you know about? I did some checking on Super Bees and besides the A12 cars, the earliest Bee I have on file is 4/30. I have one R/T convertible in the first week of May. I'm just curious as to when non A12 cars started to recieve the color.

Actually its fairly early for a V2 & V21 car....4/28/69

It also has a special VON of 967314

PS---the earliest "legit" V2 car I have is 3/17/69 which also has an odd 940447 VON which I thought was reserved for the A12 cars?

I say "legit" because I have an earlier car 1/21/69 that has a very hard to read tag....might be Y2...also has no special VON to indicate a special order color etc...

These are both 383 XP cars

The earliest V2 Daytona's I have are on 4/27/69 (5 total on the same day)
